
Strengthening the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities during humanitarian response and recovery in accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities

Goal
- Strengthening advocacy in the field of humanitarian response and post-conflict recovery by highlighting regional challenges, including barriers to access to humanitarian aid, information, services, and solutions for persons with disabilities.
Project objectives
- Conducting ten regional advocacy events (online/offline, at least 300 people) to discuss challenges in accessing humanitarian aid, information, services, and decisions that affect the lives of people with disabilities, involving at least 35 civil society organizations;
- Conducting two nationwide webinars on the implementation of the CRPD and advocacy for the rights of persons with disabilities in humanitarian response;
- Conducting a two-day training (Kyiv) for leaders of an informal advocacy network on planning and implementing advocacy campaigns.
- Conducting an expert assessment of regulatory and legal acts on ensuring the protection of persons with disabilities in armed conflicts, wars, and humanitarian emergencies.
- Holding a national round table (Kyiv) based on the results of regional advocacy events.
- Publishing ten articles on the NAPD website and Facebook page (people's stories) demonstrating the impact of advocacy activities to implement the standards of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities at the regional level.
