We invite you to the webinar «Types of state support for internally displaced persons with disabilities»

February 26, 2026

In the context of the war, and thus massive population displacement, people with disabilities face a double challenge: the loss of their homes and familiar environments, and at the same time barriers to access to social, medical, educational, and administrative services.

The National Assembly of Persons with Disabilities of Ukraine has consistently upheld the principle of equal rights and emphasizes that IDP status cannot impede access to state-guaranteed support mechanisms: cash benefits, access to medical and rehabilitation services, employment, etc. Support for internally displaced persons is one of the elements of the advocacy campaign «Humanitarian Response: Everyone Has the Right to Protection», which is part of the project «Strengthening the Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Humanitarian Response and Recovery in line with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities».

During the event, we will consider:

  • Social services for IDPs: what exactly is guaranteed by the state;
  • housing programs and compensation for lost housing;
  • rules for paying housing allowances and rental subsidies.

You will also get a lot of other important information.
