Рік незламності та боротьби України.

Рік болю та втрат рідних та незнайомих людей, які загинули захищаючи  нашу державу.

Рік  смутку  за зруйнованими містами та селами.

Рік кропіткої щоденної роботи  для допомоги людям з інвалідністю, людям похилого віку.

Рік об’єднання зусиль багатьох простих людей і країн світу для перемоги України.

Рік гордості за Збройні Сили України та Україну!

Рік віри в перемогу та відновлення нашої країни, повернення українців  з інвалідністю додому.

Війна сьогодні  продовжує руйнувати життя багатьох людей.

Люди з інвалідністю, люди похилого віку   продовжують  втрачати свої домівки і вимушені шукати прихистку; потребують медичної та соціальної допомоги; фінансової підтримки, а іноді просто розмови, щоб їх почули і вислухали. Деякі з ним втратили своїх близьких і не розуміють, як далі жити, куди повертатись, якщо домівки, в якій вони жили  вже немає.

З перших днів війни Національна Асамблея людей з інвалідністю України, яка об’єднує більше 100 організацій людей з інвалідністю з різних областей України, працює для допомоги жінкам та чоловікам з інвалідністю, батькам, які виховують людей з інвалідністю, людям похилого віку:

•  забезпечує продуктами харчування, засобами особистої гігієни, надає фінансову допомогу, юридичні та психологічні консультації;
•  створила на базі організацій членів НАІУ Центри тимчасового перебування осіб з інвалідністю, які є  пристосованими для маломобільних груп населення, проводить реабілітаційні заходи для постраждалих;
•  вирішує питання евакуації та повернення додому українців з інвалідністю;
• відстоює та представляє інтереси осіб з інвалідністю  в робочих групах національного та місцевого рівнів для покращення надання гуманітарної допомоги людям з інвалідністю та включення питань інвалідності в процеси відновлення;
• підтримує організаційну спроможність громадських організацій осіб з інвалідністю, які виконують значну частину соціальних обов’язків держави по наданню допомоги українцям з інвалідністю розуміючи, що їх робота,  це вклад в спільну перемогу.

Хочеться подякувати всім нашим міжнародним та українським партнерам,  європейським та міжнародним організаціям людей з інвалідністю,  громадянам  з різних країн за їх допомогу і підтримку.

Ми це цінуємо  і будемо завжди пам’ятати.  Ваша підтримка і допомога дала можливість  багатьом людям з інвалідністю, сім’ям, в яких виховуються діти з інвалідністю та  людям похилого віку  вижити в умовах війни.

Поряд з тим, українські громадські організації людей з інвалідністю отримали неоціненний досвід швидкого реагування  на гуманітарну ситуацію, в питання евакуації, грошових виплат, надання продовольчої допомоги,  створення шелторів, доступу до медичної допомоги, роботи в інституційних закладах у військовий час,  роботи з дітьми та молоддю з інвалідністю, соціалізації  постраждалих від війни та інші.   Наш досвід, міжнародна гуманітарна спільнота та громадські організації осіб з інвалідністю можуть використовувати  для подальшого адвокатування прав осіб з інвалідність у ситуаціях ризику, збройних конфліктах, надзвичайних гуманітарних  ситуаціях.

Попереду у нас перемога і довгий шлях  відбудови нашої країни. І сьогодні ми думаємо над тим,  щоб питання інвалідності  були включенні  у всі національні та міжнародні плани, стратегії;  про вклад громадських організацій осіб з інвалідністю у ці процеси .

Ми сподіваємось на розуміння важливості цих питань та співпрацю з державними та міжнародними інституціями у їх вирішені.

National Assembly of People with Disabilties of Ukraine.  One Year of War.

A year of invincibility and struggle of Ukraine.

A year of pain and loss of relatives and the unknown people who died defending our country.

A year of sadness for the destroyed cities and villages.

A year of hard, painstaking daily work to help people with disabilities and elderly people.

A year of uniting efforts of many ordinary people and the countries of the world for the victory of Ukraine.

A year of pride for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the state of Ukraine!

A year of faith in the victory and renovation of our country and in the return of Ukrainians with disabilities home.

The war is still destroying the lives of many people today.

People with disabilities and the elderly are still losing their homes and forced to seek shelter; they need medical and social support, financial support, and sometimes just a talk to be attended and heard. Some of them have lost their loved ones and do not understand how to live further and where to come back if the homes they lived in do not exist any more.

Since the first days of the war, the National Assembly of People with Disabilities of Ukraine, uniting more than 100 organizations of people with disabilities from various regions of Ukraine, has been working to help women and men with disabilities, parents raising children with disabilities, and elderly people, by:

• providing food, individual hygiene products, and financial support, legal and psychological consultations;
• having created, on the basis of the NAPD member organizations, Centers of temporary stay for people with disabilities which are adapted to people with low mobility and which offer rehabilitation services to the affected people;
• addressing the issues of evacuation and return of Ukrainians with disabilities home;
• advocating and representing the interests of persons with disabilities in national and local working groups to improve the provision of humanitarian assistance to people with disabilities and disabiliy inclusion in rennovation processes;
• supporting the institutuional capacity of public organizations of people with disabilities who are fulfilling a considerable part of social obligations of the   state to deliver aid to Ukrainians with disabilities and who realize that their work is their contribution into the joint victory.

We would like to thank all our international and Ukrainian partners, European and international organizations of people with disabilities, and citizens in various countries for their aid and support.

We deeply appreciate and we will always remember it. Your support and assistance have enabled many people with disabilities, families raising children with disabilities, and elderly people to survive in the wartime.

At the same time, Ukrainian public organizations of people with disabilities have gained the invaluable experience in fast humanitarian response, evacution procedures, provision of cash payments, delivery of food aid, creation of shelters, access to medical aid, operation of boarding institutions in the wartime, work with chidren and youth with disabilities, socialization of the affected individuals in a time of war, and other areas. International humanitarian community and public organizations of people with disabilities can used our experience to further advocate the rights of persons with disabilities in situations of risk, armed conflicts, and humanitarian emergencies.

We have a victory ahead and a long way to rebuild our country. Today we are thinking how to ensure disability inclusion in all national and international plans and strategies and how public organizations of people with disabilities can contribute to these processes.

We hope for understanding of the importance of these issues and cooperation with state and international institutions to resolve them.
