Meeting with representatives of non-governmental organizations to discuss the submission of an Alternative Report to the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities

On March 13, 2024, the National Assembly of People with Disabilities of Ukraine held a working meeting with representatives of public organizations on the zoom online platform. The topic of discussion was the submission of the Alternative Report to the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

According to NAPD Project and Program Manager Larisa Bayda: “Preparation of the report to the UN Committee is an important event for the general advocacy of the rights of persons with disabilities. Every organization can join this process. The main thing is to be ready for painstaking work, which will later bring a good result”

The meeting was held within the framework of the project “Crisis in Ukraine: response and recovery taking into account the needs of people with disabilities under the leadership and coordination of organizations of people with disabilities”, which is implemented by the National Assembly of People with Disabilities (NAPD), the European Disability Forum (EDF), and Christian Mission of the Blind (СBM).
