Представники влади, органів місцевого самоврядування, громадськості та люди з інвалідністю мали можливість обговорити важливі аспекти та отримати цінну інформацію.

Зокрема, на зустрічі розглянули такі питання:

– реалізацію політики безбар’єрності на рівні громади: які є позитивні зрушення та що ще потрібно змінювати;

– особливості партнерства і взаємодія в громаді між різними інституціями;

– доступність послуг для осіб з інвалідністю в громаді.

Цікавим досвідом поділилися гості з Німеччини: заступниця директора організації осіб з інвалідністю «Lebenshilfe Ostallgau-Kaufbeuren» Клавдія Кінтруп, фахівчиня з підтримки українських сімей з числа ВПО, фізіотерапевтка організації «Lebenshilfe Ostallgau-Kaufbeuren» Елізабет Каліфа та спеціаліст з інтеграції осіб з інвалідністю у суспільство, фізіотерапевт організації «Lebenshilfe Ostallgau-Kaufbeuren» Андреа Бареч.

Inclusive communities are when services are available to all, not just those who can overcome communication and physical barriers

Regional coordinators of the National Assembly of people with disabilities of Ukraine initiated the meeting “Accessible community: features of partnership and interaction in the community” in the Mamaiv community within the framework of the advocacy campaign “Inclusive communities – united actions to protect the rights of people with disabilities and with their participation”.

The event took place within the frames of the project “Multisectoral humanitarian assistance taking into account the disability for internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees, veterans and host communities in Ukraine” implemented by the National Assembly of people with disabilities of Ukraine with the financial support of the German Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs (GFFO), CBM and EDF.

Representatives of authorities, local self-government bodies, the public and people with disabilities had the opportunity to discuss important aspects and receive valuable information.

In particular, the following issues were discussed at the meeting:

– implementation of the barrier-free policy at the community level: what are the positive developments and what still needs to be changed;

– features of partnership and interaction in the community between various institutions;

– availability of services for persons with disabilities in the community.

Guests from Germany shared their interesting experience: deputy director of the organization of persons with disabilities “Lebenshilfe Ostallgau-Kaufbeuren” Klavdia Kintrup, specialist in support of Ukrainian families among IDPs, physiotherapist of the organization “Lebenshilfe Ostallgau-Kaufbeuren” Elizabeth Kalifa and specialist in integration of persons with disabilities into society , physiotherapist of the organization “Lebenshilfe Ostallgau-Kaufbeuren” Andrea Barech.
