The goal of the project
- To promote opportunities for persons with disabilities to demonstrate their civic position on an equal footing with other citizens by exercising their voting rights during the 2020 local elections.
For many years, the National Assembly of People with Disabilities of Ukraine (NAPWD), in cooperation with representatives of the Government of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Office of the President of Ukraine, the CEC, international partners (IFES, OSCE), and human rights organizations, has been implementing initiatives to protect the political and electoral rights of people with disabilities in Ukraine.

We bring to your attention results of the study "Political participation and ensuring the voting rights of people with disabilities"implemented by the NAIU during the 2020 local elections in Ukraine, which aimed to demonstrate the real state of affairs in terms of how people with disabilities perceive their participation in elections and the extent to which their human rights are ensured.
This initiative was implemented within the framework of the project "Increasing the civic engagement of people with disabilities during the 2020 local elections" funded by the Social Protection Fund for the Disabled at the expense of the State Budget of Ukraine.
