The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a resolution to support certain categories of citizens to get through the winter comfortably. As noted by «Government Portal», The program will start in early December.
The government has provided a one-time payment of UAH 6,500 for these categories of citizens:
- children under guardianship or care;
- children with disabilities, children in foster care and family-type children's homes, including children with disabilities;
- people with disabilities of group I among IDPs;
- children from low-income families under the age of 18;
- Single pensioners who receive a care allowance
You will be able to spend this assistance on winter clothes, shoes, and medicines, including medicines and vitamins. The funds must be spent within 180 days after enrollment.
A one-time targeted payment will be automatically accrued for these categories of population. The Pension Fund of Ukraine independently establishes the right to receive assistance and makes the payment. The funds will be transferred to the current account of a citizen with a special mode of use or to the virtual payment card «Diia.Card».
The program is expected to support more than 660,000 people over the winter period. The state budget has allocated UAH 4.3 billion for the program.
