The training camp "Fundraising and Sustainable Development of Public Organizations of Persons with Disabilities", organized by the National Assembly of People with Disabilities of Ukraine in partnership with the humanitarian organization "Person in Need" and with the financial support of the Czech people, has ended.
During several intensive days, participants from different regions of Ukraine gained practical knowledge and tools that will help them develop their organizations, attract financial support, and communicate effectively with donors and partners. The program is based on well-structured modules on fundraising, analyzing grant opportunities, proposal development, crisis communications, and building strategic communications.
The program was especially valuable because of the experienced trainers:
Ksenia Pecherskaya - is a lawyer, fundraiser, and trainer. She has expertise in strategic planning, fundraising, and capacity building for civil society organizations. Thanks to her practical experience, she helped the participants not only understand the intricacies of fundraising, but also create their own strategies for the development of organizations.
Kateryna Shobotenko - is a communications expert and trainer. She has extensive experience working with the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, international projects, NGOs, and the media. She specializes in developing communication strategies, fundraising, organizing events and information campaigns. Her sessions on anti-crisis communications and social media have become a real practical guide for activists.
Yuriy Vasylchenko, project coordinator: "We saw the participants' confidence grow. They began to speak clearly and convincingly about their ideas. And most importantly, they realized that they are not alone in this fight for change."
Lyudmila from Donetsk region: "There was a combination of knowledge, support, and humanity. Without these, it is simply impossible to support CSOs today...".
Mykola from Ivano-Frankivsk: "The rehabilitation program is a real gift. For the first time, training is not exhausting, but rather inspiring."
Volodymyr from Lviv: "We are very grateful to the Secretary General of the NAIU Victoria Nazarenko for the invitation and organization of the event."
The camp has become not only an educational space, but also a platform for the birth of new ideas, partnerships, and interregional cooperation.
The project "Together We Are Powerful" continues its work. There are new stages, new trainings and new opportunities to strengthen the public sector in the field of protecting the rights of people with disabilities.
