On May 18, 2025, the Zoom platform hosted a memorial evening dedicated to Tetiana Barantsova, an outstanding personality and founder of the unique socio-cultural festival "Knights and Ladies of Luhansk Region". The event, titled "The Heart that Unites," was an important moment for everyone who knew Tatiana and her unwavering commitment to helping those who need support the most.
Tatiana Barantsova was a person with an active civic position, a loyal daughter of Ukraine. Her concern for people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups left a deep mark on the hearts of many. She became a symbol of hope and strength of spirit, and her work was always aimed at creating equal opportunities for all citizens, regardless of their physical or social barriers.
Tetiana was a recipient of the Nansen Prize for her dedicated assistance to refugees and people in difficult circumstances. As the Government Commissioner for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Tetiana actively worked on reforms in this area, fighting for equal rights, accessibility and social inclusion for everyone.

"Her boundless love, strength and kindness will forever remain in our hearts. May her soul rest in peace, and may her memory be as lively and bright as she was," added another participant of the memorial evening.
Caroline Lindholm Billing, Head of the UN Refugee Agency, shared her warm words about Tatiana:
"It is an honor and a privilege to know and work with Tatiana. She was recognized as a regional (European) leader and received the Nansen Award. She was a special person. Learning of her passing was an incredible shock. This world has lost a wonderful person."
"The trail that Tetiana left behind is an inspiration for each of us to continue building a society where everyone has space for development," - added Caroline Lindholm Billing.
The event took place on the day when the Knights and Ladies of Luhansk Region festival was held in different cities, becoming another symbol of her boundless dedication. The festival continues to live on thanks to her legacy, and Tatiana will forever remain in the hearts of those who were with her on this journey.
