The newly approved composition of the Public Council of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine includes Viktoriia Nazarenko, Secretary General of the National Assembly of People with Disabilities of Ukraine.
The Public Council was established to establish effective interaction with the public, ensure public participation in the management of public affairs, take into account public opinion in the formation and implementation of state policy in the areas of social protection of the population, including people with disabilities, provision of social services, family and children's issues, ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men, prevention of domestic violence, etc.
All members of the new Public Council, which includes 35 representatives of civil society institutions, were elected by ranked voting at the Constituent Assembly to form the new composition of the Public Council under the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, which took place on August 26, 2021, at the Kyiv City Palace of Veterans.
