The National Assembly of Persons with Disabilities of Ukraine appealed to the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine for clarification on the possibility of applying for housing allowance for internally displaced persons with disabilities through the Diia Portal, in particular, using the Diia Portal mobile application.
By letter dated April 22, 2024, No. 1/06-10-6255, the Ministry of Digital Transformation provided NAIU with general information on the procedure for processing the relevant payment and informed that the Ministry had implemented a comprehensive opportunity to submit an application for registration of IDPs and an application for an IDP accommodation allowance, as well as the possibility of displaying an IDP certificate in the Diia Portal mobile application.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation notes that when submitting an application, an authorized person may mark a corresponding note regarding the presence of a disability in him or her or a member of his or her family, which is then verified by the relevant social protection authority.
This is important in view of the fact that the said assistance for IDPS with disabilities is paid in an increased amount, In particular, UAH 3,000, not UAH 2,000 as for persons without disabilities.
