As part of the Rehabilitation in Ukraine project“ Rehab4U The first stage of the work was carried out - an assessment of the needs for rehabilitation services and assistive technologies in 10 communities of Ukraine. The study showed that, on average, one in five residents of these communities needs rehabilitation. Most often, these are people with musculoskeletal disorders, oncological and neurological conditions.
The key barriers include the remoteness of services, lack of transportation, and insufficient specialists and equipment. The report will serve as a basis for developing and piloting a new model of community-based rehabilitation services.
