The cost of purchasing pensionable service for retirement has risen in Ukraine.
As he emphasizes on his page in Facebook Pension Fund of Ukraine, starting from January 1, 2026, the minimum wage will be UAH 8,647 (according to the Law of Ukraine No. 4695-IX “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2026” dated December 3, 2025).
Consequently, the amount of payments and contributions based on this value will also change. In particular, starting from January 1, the amount of the minimum insurance contribution will change, which is defined as 22% of the minimum wage. In order for one full month to be included in the insurance period in 2026, the amount of the voluntary contribution must be at least the minimum insurance contribution.
For reference.: minimum insurance contribution - the amount determined by calculation as the product of the minimum wage and the contribution amount (22%).
In other words, in order for one full month of insurance experience to be included in the insurance period, at least UAH 1,902.34 must be paid under the voluntary participation agreement (22% x UAH 8,647, where UAH 8,647 is the minimum wage).
Also. The Pension Fund reminds: citizens who have previously entered into voluntary participation agreements and plan to continue paying voluntary contributions to the compulsory state pension insurance system electronically through the Pension Fund of Ukraine's electronic services web portal in 2026 do not need to enter into new voluntary insurance contribution agreements, as the validity of the previously concluded agreements has been extended until December 31, 2026.
