The National Assembly of People with Disabilities of Ukraine supported the government's initiative to introduce a mechanism for monetary compensation for veterans with disabilities for the conversion of their vehicles in accordance with their needs.
According to the Government Portal, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine recently adopted a corresponding resolution. The document provides for reimbursement of expenses to veterans with disabilities who have converted their cars at specialised service stations licensed to perform such work. The maximum amount of compensation will be up to UAH 70,000, and this programme will be available starting in January 2026.
The National Assembly of People with Disabilities of Ukraine systematically supports initiatives aimed at ensuring accessibility and equal opportunities for persons with disabilities, in particular by analysing regulatory and legal acts in this area. Such changes will enhance the mobility of persons with disabilities among veterans, promote their social integration, and the innovation will become one of the ways for the state to recognise the special contribution of our heroes to the country.
