On December 2, 2023, the advocacy campaign «Inclusive Communities - Joint Actions to Protect the Rights of People with Disabilities and with Their Participation» was launched in the Opishnyanska community of Poltava Oblast as part of the project “Multisectoral Inclusive Humanitarian Assistance for IDPs, Returnees, Veterans and Host Communities in Ukraine”, which implements National Assembly of People with Disabilities of Ukraine with the financial support of the German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO), CBM and EDF.

The public relations coordinator of the Human Rights Ombudsman of the Verkhovna Rada of Poltava Oblast held an educational and consultative meeting for the residents of Batkivske and Chovno-Fedorivka starostas Vera Yakovenko Vira Yakovenko and Olena Bilokin, head of the human rights compliance sector of the Poltava Regional Office.

The issues discussed with community members concerned the protection of human rights under martial law and overcoming stressful conditions. A handout was also provided, which described the main activities of the regional office of the Ombudsperson's Office in Poltava region and the mechanisms of human rights protection by this institution. The participants raised questions about understanding the areas of fraud and how to protect themselves and their families from such situations.

Despite the fact that we live in peaceful territory of Ukraine, the war has affected everyone. Therefore, the issues of overcoming stressful conditions and understanding the resources of one's body have also become extremely relevant at the present time.

The initiative to organize such events belongs to Iryna Tverdokhlib, regional representative of the National Assembly of People with Disabilities in Poltava region, and Natalia Pruhlo , coordinator of the National Assembly of People with Disabilities at the local level.

On December 2, 2023, the advocacy campaign “Inclusive Communities - United Actions for the Protection of the Rights of People with Disabilities and for Their Participation” was launched in the Opishnyan community of the Poltava Region as part of the project “Multisectoral humanitarian assistance taking into account the disability for internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees, veterans and host communities in Ukraine” implemented by the National Assembly of people with disabilities of Ukraine with the financial support of the German Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs (GFFO), CBM and EDF.

For residents of Batkivskyi and Chovno-Fedorivskyi communities, public relations coordinator of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of the Poltava region Vera Yakovenko and head of the human rights sector of the Poltava district police department Olena Bilokin held an educational and advisory meeting.

The issues that were discussed with the residents of the communities related to the protection of human rights in the conditions of martial law and overcoming stressful situations. Handout information was also provided, which revealed the main areas of activity of the regional representative office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Commissioner in Poltava region and the mechanisms of human rights protection by this institution. They raised questions about understanding the directions of fraud and how to protect yourself and your family from such situations.

Despite the fact that we live in the peaceful territory of Ukraine, the war has touched every person. Therefore, the issues of overcoming stressful conditions and understanding the resource of your illness are also extremely relevant at the moment.
