The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved an act developed by the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine, which defines the mechanism for providing monetary compensation to people with disabilities and persons with limitations in daily functioning for the conversion of passenger cars.
As they explain on their website at the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine, compensation is paid in the amount of the actual costs of re-equipping the car, but not more than UAH 50,000.
You can apply for compensation within three months from the date of registration of the converted car. Applications are submitted to the territorial office of the Social Protection Fund for Persons with Disabilities.
The application can be submitted in paper form to the territorial offices of the FSZOI. The application can also be submitted through the person's electronic cabinet on the Social Web Portal of Electronic Services of the Ministry of Social Policy or through the Unified State Web Portal of Electronic Services (the Diia portal).
Persons who have not received compensation for the conversion of a car under other budget programs or if more than seven years have passed since such payment. In addition, compensation may be granted again in case of loss of a car as a result of hostilities or during the conversion of another car acquired in ownership (not earlier than seven years after the date of receipt of the previous compensation).
Compensation is granted and paid at the expense of the budget program in the order of priority of applications. The decision is made by the territorial offices of the SPFU after verification of the submitted documents and data from state registers.
