With the support of Bayer, the National Assembly of People with Disabilities (NAPD) donated rehabilitation equipment, including a verticalizer and an oxygen concentrator, to the Open Hearts Association for the Protection of Rights and Assistance to People with Disabilities (hereinafter referred to as the Open Hearts Association) to implement joint programs with the Vinnytsia Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation «Obriy» (hereinafter referred to as the Obriy Center).
According to the Open Hearts Association, the Obriy Rehabilitation Center continues to provide people with severe disabilities with a variety of necessary social services, and the support provided by the NAIU and Bayer has been very helpful. Svitlana Demko, Head of the Open Hearts Association: «Nowadays, we all live in conditions of lack of oxygen or polluted air, which increases the risk of developing chronic diseases. Oxygen therapy, which is carried out with the help of an oxygen concentrator, will help to increase the level of oxygen in the blood». With the help of this device, it will be possible to effectively prevent and prevent viral infections in the autumn and winter among the recipients of the services of the Obriy Rehabilitation Center.
A verticalizer is also important in rehabilitation, as children and young people who use wheelchairs need to change their body position throughout the day. And to improve their well-being, it is important to maintain an upright position.

The Rehabilitation Center also received a manipulation table for a nurse, which came in handy, as the Center's innovative service, Temporary Rest for Parents of Children with Disabilities, requires auxiliary medical equipment. The working surfaces and drawers of the manipulation table contain everything necessary for bandaging, treating damaged skin, dispensing pills and other manipulations. The table is safe, reliable in use, saves time and significantly improves the quality of services.
