A resident of Khmelnytskyi region appealed to the National Assembly of Persons with Disabilities of Ukraine (NAPD) complaining about the social security body, which denied the applicant the continuous appointment of state social benefits for a child with disabilities.
According to the applicant, it is true that due to her child's flu, there was a one-day break between the previous and next dates for establishing her disability.
After analyzing the situation, the NAPD concluded that the social security body in this situation improperly applied the norms of the legislation on state social assistance for a child with a disability.
To resolve the issue, the NAPD provided the applicant with the legal provisions to which she should refer and recommended that she show them to the employees of the social protection authority.
Unfortunately, the social security officials ignored the additional arguments provided by the applicant, orally referring to the Government's December decision, which for some reason they were unable to show.
To resolve the issue, the NAPD advised the applicant to complain to the authorities, as a result of which she called the Government Grievance Line and left a complaint.
NAPD continues to monitor the development of this situation.
