The goal of the project

Ensuring support for people with disabilities and their representative organizations in response and recovery in the context of the war in Ukraine

Humanitarian response to the needs of the project target group during war and emergencies: providing targeted financial assistance to people (money on a card); counseling on legal and social issues; improving access to social services (purchase of bicycles for social workers)
Strengthening the capacity of organizations of people with disabilities: conducting webinars, seminars, psychological rehabilitation camps; supporting organizations of people with disabilities - members and partners of the NAPD to work in communities, providing targeted assistance to the target group through microgrant funding; strengthening the capacity of the NAPD - reviewing organization policies, conducting training, supporting information resources, etc.
Advocacy for the rights of persons with disabilities at the local and national levels: work with UN clusters and agencies, international organizations on access to humanitarian assistance for persons with disabilities, the elderly; inclusion of disability issues in the Humanitarian Response Plan for 2024, recovery plans/strategies; analysis of the situation with access to medical services for persons with disabilities in 6 communities (accessibility audits, recommendations for eliminating barriers, minor reconstruction, purchase of equipment for medical facilities); etc.
