MEDIA ABOUT US! Rehabilitation camp for visually impaired veterans opened in Vinnytsia

For the first time, a rehabilitation camp for visually impaired veterans called Life After War has been organized in Vinnytsia. For two weeks, eight participants from different parts of Ukraine will learn how to navigate in space, manage their daily lives, use computers, and cook and serve themselves. The head of the rehabilitation camp, the director of the public union “Modern View” Olesya Perepechenko.

“We want our veterans who were injured in the war to know that they are not alone, that life goes on, and that they can live a full life despite their visual impairment,” said Olesya Perepechenko.

The event was held within the framework of the project «Crisis in Ukraine: Disability-inclusive Response and Recovery (Phase 2), led and coordinated by organizations of persons with disabilities, which implements National Assembly of People with Disabilities of Ukraine supported by the European Disability Forum (EDF) and the Christian Blind Mission (CBM).
