#Life_after_war_has_to_continue! Life After War rehabilitation camp for veterans has started in Vinnytsia!

May 17, 2024

On May 16, another support and rehabilitation camp for veterans who lost their eyesight in the war and their families started in Vinnytsia.

Over the course of 14 days, 10 participants who lost their eyesight as a result of mine injuries will undergo a comprehensive rehabilitation course. For many of the participants, this is the stage of primary rehabilitation aimed at restoring or compensating for lost functions. The program takes into account the most individualized approach and constant psychological support.

This rehabilitation course is a way to form personal motivation and a guide to independence and autonomy in the life of each participant.

The team of organizers and patrons of the «United by Purpose» continues its systematic approach to support and rehabilitation of one of the most difficult nosological groups of people who have lost their sight.

At present, the team of organizers has been joined by specialists from the Department of Ophthalmology, Vinnytsia Pirogov National Medical University, who have added a medical component to the overall rehabilitation process.

Of course, the team of trainers works according to a program that has been established over the years, but no two camps are the same, because the people who participate in them are unique. The first day of rehabilitation began with a warm welcome, general acquaintance, testing and diagnostics of the participants, and continued with training in the basic rules of support and psychological support.

Each day will be filled with a large number of classes, practical and theoretical knowledge, emotional support and friendly communication.

We can safely say that the start of the third rehabilitation camp in 2024 was a success!

And as they say in sports, a good start is a one hundred percent victory!
