The Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine has approved the State Standard of Social Service for Counseling on the Adaptation of Residential Premises and made relevant changes to the Classifier of Social Services.
As the Ministry reports on its website Facebook page on Facebook, the new service will help people with disabilities and people with limited daily functioning adapt their homes to their individual needs to make them safe, accessible and comfortable.
Providers may be legal entities and individual entrepreneurs registered in the Register of Providers and Recipients of Social Services. The application is submitted in writing or online to the authority at the place of residence, and during martial law or a state of emergency - at the actual place of residence.
After the needs assessment, an individual plan is drawn up that determines the scope and content of the service for a particular person.
The Ministry of Social Policy believes that the introduction of this standard will be another step towards an inclusive society in which everyone has the opportunity to live with dignity and independence, regardless of their health status.
