On November 28, this was discussed in Storozhynets, Chernivtsi Oblast, at the training "Inclusive Communities: Peculiarities of Communication and Citizen Engagement."
The event was initiated by Valentyna Dobrydina, a representative of the National Assembly of People with Disabilities of Ukraine in Chernivtsi Oblast and head of the NGO "Leader". It opened a series of activities as part of the advocacy campaign "Inclusive Communities - United Action to Protect the Rights of People with Disabilities and with Their Participation."
At the training, the moderator of the event, Maria Nikitina, spoke about eliminating barriers in 6 main areas: physical, social, economic, educational, digital, and informational.
The event was attended by 45 people, including representatives of the city council, the pension fund, the tax service, as well as doctors, media and activists.
The training took place in the assembly hall of the Storozhynets City Council. It has recently been made accessible to people with disabilities by installing a convenient ramp that meets all standards.
