Is it possible to stay in the intensive care unit with a loved one?

April 9, 2024

You ask - we answer

Intensive care units are open to relatives or friends of patients. Free access was approved by the Ministry of Health in 2016.

In particular:

  • One visitor can be with the patient without time limits. No more than two people can be with the patient at the same time.
  • Any person can be a visitor, regardless of family relations. However, those who are not the parents of a child patient have the right to be admitted to the intensive care unit only if they have the verbal consent of one of the child patient's parents or legal representatives.

At the same time, free access to intensive care requires compliance with certain rules. Read more about them at via link.
