Inclusive recovery of Ukraine: Recommendations for donors

The European Disability Forum (EDF), together with the National Assembly of People with Disabilities of Ukraine (NAPDU) and the League of the Strong, prepared a framework document for donors on the inclusive recovery of Ukraine. In August 2024, recommendations aimed at ensuring the rights of people with disabilities in the country's reconstruction process were published.

The main areas of recommendations include:

Participation of organizations of people with disabilities in decision-making.
Compliance with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
Prioritizing accessibility and creating inclusive conditions for all citizens.

The document also calls on the international donor community to support these efforts by providing funding and ensuring the sustainability of the recovery process.
