In early 2026, the National Health Screening 40+ Program was launched in Ukraine.
As he explains in his channel in Telegram Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the program is aimed at early detection of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and mental health problems for Ukrainians aged 40 and older. And in January, Ukrainians of this age will start receiving the first notifications inviting them to undergo screening.
How does it work?
1️. The invitation to screening will be sent to the Diia app on the 30th day after the birthday - for people aged 40 and older.
2️. After confirmation of participation in the program, 2000 hryvnias are credited to the Diia.Card within seven days. The funds can only be used to pay for the screening.
3️. For those who do not use the Diia app, it is possible to apply for a bank card and submit an application through the ASC. This can be done 30 days after the birthday.
National health screening for 40+ includes:
- questionnaires and assessments of individual risks (including cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and mental health);
- physical examination (blood pressure measurement, assessment of heart rate and rhythm, anthropometry);
- laboratory tests that show the functioning of the heart, blood vessels and kidneys;
- individual doctor's recommendations on lifestyle and health status, including prescribing medications or referrals for further examinations or treatment, if necessary.
