Medical evacuation abroad: conditions, rules, contacts

Ukrainian servicemen with injuries or serious illnesses can undergo treatment or rehabilitation abroad free of charge under the Medevac Ukraine program.

As the Ministry of Health of Ukraine explains on its Facebook page on Facebook, the program was created back in April 2022 through the cooperation of the Ministry of Health, the European Union, the World Health Organization, and European governments.

As of mid-September 2025, 5,922 Ukrainians have used it, including 4,321 military personnel and 156 children. Most of our citizens have been accepted:

  • Germany - 1,726,
  • Latvia - 703,
  • Poland - 453,
  • Norway - 451,
  • The Netherlands - 430.
