Compensation for workers injured at work

The amount of monthly cash compensation has been increased for people who have been injured at work and require constant care, as well as have a constant need for sanitary and hygienic products, care products and at the same time - for medical products or medicines.

As he explains in his website The Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine, until now, some victims, especially those with severe injuries, have faced significant costs for purchasing necessary medical products and medicines. Often this has become an unbearable financial problem for the family.

From now on, depending on the need, these people will be able to additionally receive:

• 4,000 UAH – if special medical care and at the same time medication or medical devices are needed;
• 2,000 UAH – in case of need for constant external care and simultaneous medical support;
• 1,333 UAH – if you need household care and medical products;
• 800 UAH – if sanitary and hygienic products and medicines or medical products are constantly needed.

The Ministry of Social Policy emphasizes that those victims who are already receiving care and in-kind benefits do not need to apply for help again. Social workers will soon visit them at their place of residence or stay, conduct an additional assessment of their needs, and provide the necessary information to the Pension Fund of Ukraine. The PFU, in turn, will calculate additional payments.

At the same time, to receive in-kind assistance, the victim has the right to independently contact the territorial body of the Pension Fund.
