Barrier-free shelters in educational institutions: a new safety standard for Ukrainian children

The website of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine published news about new safety standards for Ukrainian children in educational institutions. The Ministry presented an initiative to create barrier-free shelters in schools and other educational institutions. This is an important initiative that will allow children with disabilities, as well as all students and teachers, to feel safe during emergencies. Special requirements for shelters have been developed to ensure accessibility for people with disabilities. In particular, spacious premises will be created taking into account the needs of people with disabilities, where students can stay during an alarm or other emergency.

These measures are part of a general plan to ensure the security of the educational process in wartime, designed to create comfortable conditions for all participants in the educational process.
