Методичні рекомендації “Тактильні смуги – доступність відкритих громадських просторів для людей із порушеннями зору”
For the first time in Ukraine, a wide range of issues related to the functioning of tactile accessibility elements - ground tactile strips, their classification, as well as the norms and principles of building and using tactile strip systems, mistakes and artificially created barriers when arranging space with ground tactile strips, etc.
These recommendations are addressed primarily to professionals who ensure the accessibility of open public spaces for people with disabilities and other low-mobility groups, as well as to managers and representatives of authorities, state and municipal enterprises, institutions and organizations, construction industry entities and public associations that are involved in creating a barrier-free
The publication is based on the requirements of DBN B.2.2-40:2018 «Inclusivity of Buildings and Structures», covering a number of aspects beyond those in the regulatory document. It will be useful to anyone who ensures the accessibility of open public spaces for people with visual impairments, teachers and students of higher education institutions of various specialties - typhlopedagogues, rehabilitation specialists, architects, etc. The guidelines will also be of interest to visually impaired people themselves.

The methodological recommendations were developed by the Zhytomyr regional NGO of people with disabilities «Youth. Woman. Family.» within the framework of the project «Response and Recovery Taking into Account the Needs of People with Disabilities under the Leadership and Coordination of Organizations of People with Disabilities», implemented by the National Assembly of People with Disabilities of Ukraine with the support of the European Disability Forum and the Christian Blind Mission (CBM).
