Communication Guide for VET Providers

Inclusive vocational education and training is not only about access to learning, but also about the opportunity to acquire an occupation, complete practical training, and find employment. A VET provider’s communication plays an important role in this: how clear, accessible, respectful, and responsive it is to the needs of different people.
The “Communication Guide for VET Providers” brings together practical recommendations for organising communication in line with the principles of inclusion. The material helps readers view communication as a tool for engaging with learners, applicants, employers, communities, and other partners.
Particular attention is paid to information accessibility, appropriate and non-discriminatory communication, consideration of the needs of different audiences, and shaping the image of a VET provider as open and accessible to everyone.
The publication will be useful for heads of VET providers, teaching staff, communication professionals, and everyone working to develop an inclusive educational environment.
The project “Inclusive Vocational Education and Training: Improving Training for Veterans and People with Disabilities” is implemented by the National Assembly of People with Disabilities of Ukraine (NAPD) in cooperation with Christoffel-Blindenmission Christian Blind Mission e.V. (CBM) with financial support from the European Union, Germany, Poland, Estonia, and Denmark, as part of the Skills4Recovery Multi-Donor Initiative, implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and Solidarity Fund PL (SFPL).
