We present the May issue of the newsletter «The Right to Rehabilitation»

May 31, 2021

Dear readers! Please find the May issue of the newsletter «The Right to Rehabilitation».

This issue is dedicated to physical therapy in palliative care. In particular, you will learn about the three main areas of physical therapy services in palliative care.

You'll also learn about cervical spine pain, which is one of the most common reasons for seeking help from healthcare professionals worldwide. Scientists believe that about 75% people will experience neck pain in one way or another during their lifetime. All about the most common types of neck pain and how a physical therapist can help?

Let's talk about the World Physiotherapy Congress, which takes place every two years in different parts of the world. What is it? And why should physical therapy take part in it?

The Bulletin is issued as part of the awareness-raising campaign launched by the National Assembly of People with Disabilities of Ukraine (NAPWD). The campaign focuses on informing the public about the right to rehabilitation, raising awareness about physical therapy, promoting the importance of physical therapy/rehabilitation services for maintaining and restoring quality of life, and creating demand for physical therapy services.

The educational campaign was made possible by NAIU's participation in international project «Strengthening rehabilitation services in the healthcare system», implemented by UCP Wheels for Humanity (UCPW) with the support of the Ukrainian Association of Physical Therapy (UAPT), the World Confederation of Physical Therapy (WCPT) and the Republican Medical College of Tajikistan (RMC), with financial support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
