Thanks to the cooperation of the National Assembly of People with Disabilities of Ukraine (NAPDU) with the European Disability Forum and the Christian Mission for the Blind (CMB), 24 people with disabilities from Mykolaiv received financial assistance. These are mostly visually impaired people and those with spinal injuries.
"Thank you very much for the financial assistance! Thank you for not standing aside and helping, for supporting people who need support in such a difficult and scary time for all of us! Together to victory", - Anna, Mykolaiv.
"Thank you for responding so quickly to our request for help. There is always hope that there will be kind people who will respond. It's hard for everyone, I understand that. But sometimes you can't do it alone." - Viktor, Mykolaiv.
The project "Crisis in Ukraine: Response and Recovery Taking into Account the Needs of People with Disabilities (Phase 2)" has been running for two years. During this time, people with disabilities and the elderly from different regions have received help in difficult times. But the project is not just about targeted support for people. It aims to strengthen organizations that work for people with disabilities so that they can effectively respond to new challenges, participate in the country's recovery, and help others.
The event was held within the framework of the project "Crisis in Ukraine: Response and Recovery Taking into Account the Needs of People with Disabilities (Phase 2), implemented by the National Assembly of People with Disabilities of Ukraine in cooperation with the European Disability Forum (EDF) and the Christian Blind Mission (CBM).
