Andriy, 42, a resident of the Rozhyshche community, lives with constant pain in his leg after a serious accident. Even the familiar environment of his own home, which should be comfortable for movement, poses challenges for the man every day. And without assistive technology for mobility, the usual everyday activities become almost impossible.
From the project "Disability-inclusive multisectoral humanitarian assistance for IDPs, returnees, veterans and host communities in Ukraine" Andriy received a walker. "This is not just a device. It has become a reliable support that now helps me move every day. It makes my daily life easier and helps me to move comfortably in my home," said Mr. Andriy.
Andriy also said that he may have to undergo surgery, and the walker will become an indispensable tool during his rehabilitation.
Timely support and access to the necessary assistive technologies can significantly improve the quality of life. And fill it with movement and hope.
