How to check yourself in the Unified Register of Debtors: instructions

January 12, 2026

Many of us need to find out whether our data is included in the register of debtors. Sometimes we find out about it quite unexpectedly. The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine informs how to obtain such information in its Telegram channel.

According to the Ministry, checking yourself in the Unified Register of Debtors is a quick way to make sure that no enforcement proceedings have been opened against you and no restrictions have been applied that could affect the use of accounts or property.

What is the Unified Register of Debtors?
It is an open database that is automatically updated in real time. The register ensures transparency of enforcement proceedings and helps prevent debtors from concealing or alienating property. Anyone can quickly get information about existing debts.

How to perform the check?
🔹 Step 1. Go to the registry portal here: https://erb.minjust.gov.ua
🔹 Step 2. Enter your details. To search, just enter your full name, date of birth, and, if necessary, your identification code.
🔹 Step 3. Check out the result.

If there is an enforcement proceeding, you will see:
☑️ the body or official that issued the enforcement document;
☑️ enforcement proceedings number;
☑️ the category of penalty (alimony, fine, etc.);
☑️ information about a public or private enforcement officer, his/her email and phone number;
☑️ account details to pay the debt. In addition to self-checking, the register is useful in other cases: before entering into transactions, when checking potential counterparties or employees, as well as for obtaining legal information or clarifying the status of an already known debt.
