NAPD Experience in Localizing Humanitarian Assistance

The Program Director of the National Assembly of Persons with Disabilities (NAPD), Larisa Baida, participated in an international meeting on the localization of humanitarian activities as part of the two-week event on Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Weeks (HNPW), which took place from March 17 to 28, 2025.

During the meeting, dedicated to the issues of removing obstacles to the localization of humanitarian activities and the leading role of women's and disability organizations in coordinating humanitarian response, the NAPD's best practices were presented in ensuring the inclusion of disability aspects in the work of clusters, UN structures and international humanitarian organizations through active lobbying, advocacy and information and educational work at all levels, as well as operational mobilization and support of local organizations of persons with disabilities to involve them in decision-making processes at the local and regional levels.
