Inclusive Vocational Education and Training: A Pathway from Admission to Employment

The practical handbook “Inclusive Vocational Education and Training: A Pathway from Admission to Employment” is a resource for VET providers and their partners, designed to support the systematic organisation of inclusive learning and help learners throughout their entire pathway — from admission to the transition to employment.

The Handbook addresses practical issues faced by VET providers, including ensuring accessible admissions and an accessible learning environment; identifying barriers and planning the necessary support; organising teamwork; adapting the educational process without lowering vocational qualification requirements; organising safe and accessible work placements; cooperating with employers and other partners; and supporting learners in their transition from education and training to employment.

The material takes into account the diversity of learners, including young people with special educational needs, persons with disabilities, veterans, and other adults who choose vocational education and training as a pathway to professional fulfilment and participation in community life.

The Handbook will be useful for managers and teaching staff of VET providers, professionals involved in organising inclusive learning, and partners of VET providers. It can be used as a practical resource for finding solutions to specific situations and for the systematic development of an inclusive learning environment in which accessibility, participation, and professional fulfilment become part of day-to-day practice.
