What is discrimination on the basis of disability? Who is responsible for discrimination? What forms of discrimination against people with disabilities exist and what to do if there is reason to believe that discrimination has occurred?

Discrimination on the basis of disability is present in all spheres of life. It has many causes, ranging from ignorance of our rights to stereotypes and prejudices against people with disabilities. And only your activity and perseverance in identifying, responding to and protecting your rights will help to overcome this phenomenon.

Within the framework of the project «Implementation of the National Human Rights Strategy as a Way to Reduce Discrimination Against People with Disabilities» implemented by the NGO «National Assembly of People with Disabilities of Ukraine», a memo «Discrimination on the Basis of Disability: Identify, Respond, Protect» was prepared.

You can download the memo by via link.
