Підтримка цивільних та військових, які втратили зір під час війни / Support for civilians and military personnel who lost their sight during the war

У 2023 році ГС «Сучасний погляд» у колаборації із партнерами провели близько 20-ти різних заходів, спрямованих на підтримку та відновлення ветеранів, що втратили зір на війні.

Відповідно до даних Національної служби здоров’я України, від лютого 2022 року по липень 2023 включно 38 870 людям було вперше поставлено діагноз, пов’язаний із сліпотою та зниженням зору.

«Продовжуємо робити в тому ж напрямку і в 2024 році, – говорить Олеся Перепеченко, виконавча директорка Громадської спілки, – тому що нажаль, кількість тих, хто цього потребує шалено збільшується».

Наразі анонсуємо новий проєкт: «Підтримка цивільних та військових, які втратили зір під час війни», який діє в рамках проєкту «Криза в Україні: Реагування та відновлення з урахуванням потреб людей з інвалідністю під керівництвом та за координації організацій осіб з інвалідністю (2-га фаза)», що реалізує Національна Асамблея людей з інвалідністю України та Європейський форум з питань інвалідності (EDF).

В рамках проєкту будуть проведені інформаційні сесії по інформуванню суспільства про комунікацію, потреби та правила допомоги людям, що втратили зір. Будуть проведені навчально-інформаційні вебінари та фокус групи для надання допомоги, підтримки, залучення для подальшої діяльності осіб з інвалідністю по зору. Будуть надані індивідуальні та групові психологічні консультації для осіб, які втратили зір внаслідок  війни. Розширеною програмою підтримки і допомоги стане робота з членами родин, життя яких суттєво змінилося після втрати зору рідної людини і нерозуміння, що робити і як жити далі. Даний комплекс заходів та системний підхід щодо планування дій задля вирішення проблеми з подальшим впровадженням напрацювань сприятиме покращенню ситуації, що склалась. Інформування суспільства про поточні виклики та шляхи допомоги громадянам, що отримали травми та поранення органів зору, стануть вагомим механізмом співпраці у суспільних інституціях.

In 2023 non-governmental organization “Modern View” in co-operation with their partners conducted about 20 different events aimed at supporting and restoring veterans who lost their sight in the war.

According to the data of the National Health Service of Ukraine, from February 2022 to July 2023 inclusive, 38,870 people were first diagnosed with blindness and low vision.

“We will continue to do in the same direction in 2024,” says Olesya Perepechenko, executive director of the Civic Union, “because, unfortunately, the number of those who need it is increasing wildly.”

Currently, we are announcing a new project: “Support to civilians and military personnel who lost their sight during the war”, which operates within the framework of the project “Crisis in Ukraine: Response and recovery taking into account the needs of people with disabilities under the leadership and coordination of organizations of people with disabilities (the second phase)” implemented by the National Assembly of People with Disabilities of Ukraine and the European Disability Forum (EDF).

Within the framework of the project, information sessions will be held to inform society about communication, needs and rules of assistance to people who have lost their sight. Educational and informational webinars and focus groups will be held to provide assistance, support, and involve people with visual disabilities for further activities. Individual and group psychological counseling will be provided for persons who have lost their sight as a result of the war. An extended program of support and assistance will be work with family members whose lives have changed significantly after the loss of sight of a loved person or a family member and the lack of understanding of what to do and how to live on. This set of measures and a systematic approach to planning actions to solve the problem with the further implementation of developments will contribute to improving the current situation. Informing society about current challenges and ways to help citizens who have suffered injuries and injuries to the organs of vision will become a powerful mechanism of cooperation in public institutions.
