What is rehabilitation?
Це комплекс заходів, спрямованих на відновлення здоров’я, функціонального стану і працездатності організму, які були порушені хворобами, травмами, фізичними, хімічними та соціальними чинниками.
Legislative framework of Ukraine on rehabilitation
Розвиток сфери реабілітації у нашій державі визначається Законами України «Основи законодавства України про охорону здоров’я», «Про реабілітацію у сфері охорони здоров’я», «Про реабілітацію осіб з інвалідністю в Україні».
Вони регламентують здійснення медичних, психологічних, педагогічних, фізичних та інших заходів, спрямованих на надання постраждалим особам допомоги у відновленні та компенсації порушених або втрачених функцій організму.
Who is eligible for rehabilitation?
На отримання реабілітаційної допомоги мають право не лише люди з інвалідністю, але й усі люди, які мають різні захворювання та травми, що потребують реабілітації. Серед них:
- a person with a limitation of daily functioning
- a person whose health condition may lead to such restrictions
- an adult person with a disability
- child with a disability
- A child under 3 years of age, inclusive, who is at risk of disability

У разі потреби ви можете звертатися за консультацією до Національної служби здоров’я України за номером 16-77 або зайти на її сайт: Електронна карта місць надання послуг за програмою медичних гарантій і обрати медичний заклад на карті або у таблиці.
What documents do I need to provide?
Ви можете отримати реабілітацію стаціонарно (з перебуванням у медичному закладі) або амбулаторно (без постійного перебування).
Щоб отримати допомогу стаціонарно:
- You need to have a referral from your attending physician, in particular, a physician of physical and rehabilitation medicine
- Or be transferred from another institution to a health care facility that provides rehabilitation services
Щоб отримати допомогу амбулаторно:
- You must have a referral from a primary care physician (family doctor)
- Or have a referral from your attending physician, including a physician of physical and rehabilitation medicine
Who determines the scope, duration and types of rehabilitation assistance?
Це робить мультидисциплінарна реабілітаційна команда медичного закладу. Ця команда:
- prepares an individualized rehabilitation plan (IRP) for you, which describes in detail the necessary facilities, activities and services
- adjusts the PPI during repeated examinations so that it always corresponds to your condition

- Medical rehabilitation of infants born prematurely and/or sick during the first three months of life
- Rehabilitation in inpatient settings
- Rehabilitation on an outpatient basis
