На запрошення Данської асоціації незрячих у Польщі та сприяння Національної Асамблеї людей з інвалідністю України (NAPD) відбулася важлива зустріч українських організацій незрячих. У заході взяли участь представники Всеукраїнської громадської організації людей з інвалідністю по зору “Генерація успішної дії”, ГО “Сучасний погляд” та Українського товариства сліпих.
Серед міжнародних гостей були Марк Уоркман, генеральний директор Всесвітньої спілки сліпих, Діана Стентофт, віце-президент Данської асоціації незрячих, та Крістін К’єрет, голова міжнародної команди Норвезької асоціації сліпих і слабозорих.
Під час зустрічі учасники мали можливість поділитися своїми досягненнями, викликами та інноваційними підходами у роботі з незрячими та слабозорими людьми. Обговорювалися питання гуманітарного реагування, реабілітації, доступу до інформації, соціальної інтеграції та підтримки осіб з порушеннями зору.
Ця зустріч стала важливим кроком у зміцненні співпраці між українськими та міжнародними організаціями осіб з порушеннями зору. Вона сприятиме обміну досвідом, покращенню координації зусиль та впровадженню нових ефективних підходів для забезпечення доступності та інклюзії для людей з порушеннями зору в Україні та за її межами.
International support for Ukrainian blind organizations: new opportunities for cooperation
At the invitation of the Danish Association of the Blind in Poland and with the support of the National Assembly of People with Disabilities of Ukraine (NAPD), an important meeting of Ukrainian organizations of the blind took place. The event was attended by representatives of the All-Ukrainian public organization of people with visual disabilities “Generation of Successful Action”, the NGO “Modern View” and the Ukrainian Society of the Blind.
International guests included Mark Workman, Director General of the World Blind Union, Diana Stentoft, Vice President of the Danish Association of the Blind, and Kristin Kieret, Head of the International Team of the Norwegian Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired.
During the meeting, participants had the opportunity to share their achievements, challenges and innovative approaches in working with blind and visually impaired people. Issues of humanitarian response, rehabilitation, access to information, social integration and support for people with visual impairments were discussed.
This meeting was an important step in strengthening cooperation between Ukrainian and international organizations of people with visual impairments. It will contribute to the exchange of experiences, improved coordination of efforts, and the implementation of new effective approaches to ensuring accessibility and inclusion for people with visual impairments in Ukraine and abroad.
